In the On Grid Solar system the energy from the sun is converted to DC electricity. The Inverter converts the DC electricity into AC electricity. This AC electricity is then routed through the Net Meter to the Residential/Commercial Premises and also the Power grid. During the day the user premises uses the solar power and the additional power generated is fed to the Power Grid and at night the user premises draws the power from the Grid. The user is billed only for the net electricity consumed.
